What we have built into this site so it works for everyone, and how to tell us when it does not.
Our commitment
Insurance Agent Training is committed to making this site usable by everyone, including people who use screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, magnification or reduced-motion settings.
The standard we build to
We build to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA, and we test against it as part of every release rather than as an afterthought.
What that means on this site
- Body text meets a contrast ratio of at least 4.5:1, and large text and user-interface components at least 3:1, measured on the colors as they actually composite on screen.
- Every control can be reached and operated with a keyboard, in a logical order, and always shows a visible focus indicator.
- Every page has one H1 and a heading outline that does not skip levels, with landmark regions for navigation, main content and footer.
- Images that carry meaning have text alternatives; images that are decorative are marked so assistive technology skips them.
- Form fields have real labels, and errors are announced in text, never signaled by color alone.
- Every animation on the site, the marquee, the counters, the scroll reveals, the growth chart and the interactive dot field in the hero, is switched off when your device asks for reduced motion. The dot field is never started at all.
- Opening the menu or the welcome dialog moves your focus into it, keeps it there while it is open, and returns it to the control you opened it with. The rest of the page is made inert, so it cannot be reached behind the overlay.
- Charts are published as a data table alongside the drawing, so the figures are readable without seeing the bars.
- Buttons, menu items and other standalone controls are at least 44 by 44 pixels. Links inside a sentence follow the size of the text they sit in, which is the exception WCAG allows for inline links.
- Content reflows to a 320px-wide viewport without horizontal scrolling.
Known limitations
Some pages link out to services run by other companies, Skool, SamCart, Agent CRM and the social platforms. We do not control the accessibility of those sites.
